A fight with a powerful enemy that made much bloodshed made the vampire lose control and bite the very person who he had wish to have never let them know of his own terrible life, Renata. Though she too became a vampire, she understood and accepted him for his actions and what they now were.

But Coles had a dark secret. He was not in fact human, but a vampire who had lived a few centuries before ever meeting Renata and their other new friends. He tried to hide his true identity for the fear of frightening them all, and possibly losing the one who was beginning to soften his heart.

So Govind helped Renata find her first guardian on a dying planet known as Persephone where she found the Fire Guardian Coles, son of a governor of the city he once lived in. The world was destroyed after their journey there because of both its age, and for the fact that peace no long lingered there. Together, the two people, along with the help of a ferret-like creature named Xio-man, journeyed throughout the universe to both find their fellow comrades, and help out other worlds with problems beyond that of the citizens of the worlds in need.
